Here's how Pool's players rated:

Mark Howard - 7

Made a number of fine stops, including one from point blank range, but perhaps could have done better with Doncaster’s goal.

Michael Nottingham - 6

A danger going forward and hauled Pool level with a close-range finish. But question marks remain over his defensive positioning.

Ben Heneghan - 5

At fault for Doncaster’s goal and got away with another couple of poor mistakes as well. Looks low on confidence.

Paudie O’Connor - 6

Improved aerial display but struggled to deal with the pacey Alfie May. Needs to be more commanding at the back.

Marc Bola - 7

Defensively solid and made a number of fine blocks and interceptions, but his final delivery at the other end needs working on.

Jay Spearing - 8

Marshalled the defence well and moved the ball quickly. Looked levels above everybody else on the park at times.

Chris Taylor - 6

Saw a glimpse of goal on a couple of occasions in the first half but couldn’t quite find the target.

John O’Sullivan - 6

Wasted a glorious chance to give Blackpool the lead at the start of the second half, curling wide with the keeper out of goal.

Harry Pritchard - 7

Put Blackpool in front with a calm side-footed finish. Also provided the corner for Michael Nottingham’s equaliser.

Liam Feeney - 6

A useful 65 minutes on his first full start for the Seasiders. A fairly quiet evening out on the wing but did nothing wrong.

Armand Gnanduillet - 5

Didn’t show enough physicality to hold the ball up. Left to feed off scraps at times but can certainly do more.

Subs used

Jordan Thompson - 6

For Feeney, 66

Provided a superb pass to Armand Gnanduillet who could have extended Blackpool’s lead late on.

Ollie Turton - 6

For Pritchard, 73

Brought on to sure up Blackpool’s midfield at a time when Harry Pritchard was beginning to tire after a decent shift.

Joe Dodoo - 6

For Gnanduillet, 85

Didn’t have enough time to have an impact on the game but helped wind the clock down in the final stages.
