Here's how Pool's starting XI rated (including the subs that played 45 minutes or more)...
7. Kevin Stewart - 6/10
Forced off early with an ankle injury during the first-half. A nightmare way to end the club’s disrupted pre-season.
8. Josh Bowler - 6/10
A threat in behind with his pace and direct runs, but touch and final ball let him down. Missed a gilt-edged chance in the first half.
9. Oliver Sarkic - 6/10
Produced a couple of bright touches in-between the lines, but otherwise struggled to get involved in the game.
10. Sonny Carey - 6/10
Carried out his defensive work well against Riyad Mahrez, but didn’t offer a great deal in an attacking sense.
11. MAN OF THE MATCH: Shayne Lavery - 8/10
Pool’s standout performer by far. Tireless with his closing down and won the penalty. Never gives up and plays with no fear.
12. SUB: Cameron Antwi - 6/10
Brought on earlier than anticipated due to Stewart’s knock. Kept things fairly simple, nothing complicated or fancy.
