MATT Phillips says there is no reason why Blackpool can’t storm into the play-offs and book another season in the Premier League.

With four games to go and the season entering crunch time, the frontman believes this Seasiders squad has what it takes to deliver the goods and make it back to the big time.

Phillips is brimming with confidence after getting back among the goals last time out against Barnsley.

He ended a run of 14 games without hitting the target and is now aiming to get back to the same kind of scoring form which saw him bag 10 goals in as many games earlier in the campaign.

“It has been a few weeks – well a month or two – since I last scored, so I was very pleased to get back among the goals,” said Phillips, who had last scored at Sheffield Wednesday in the FA Cup at the start of February.

“It would be nice to get a few more now. Sometimes when you’ve not scored for a while that is what happens – you get a few in a row, so hopefully more will follow.

“But it isn’t something that plays on my mind. I don’t worry now if I’ve not got a goal for a while. I am past that now.

“I think I have my head in the right frame of mind, and I believe I can score whenever I go out on the pitch because this Blackpool team I am lucky enough to play in creates a lot of chances.

“It is up to me to put as many of them away as I can.

“We can definitely get into the play-offs. The belief we have got is strong and the resolve we showed with 10 men against Barnsley proves we have got what it takes to do it.

“We have a specialist fitness coach who comes in and he does a good job”.
