Owen Oyston insists he hasn’t ignored Blackpool fans’ bid to buy the club and is ‘seriously considering’ their offer.
Blackpool Supporters’ Trust tabled a package worth £23m for Blackpool FC, setting a two-week deadline for a response which expired yesterday.
With no response arriving from the Oyston family, the fan group criticised the owners lack of reply as ‘disappointing’.
But owner Oyston has contacted BST and The Gazette late last night to insist that isn’t the case.
“Mr Owen Oyston has asked me to send you a note to advise he has not snubbed your offer as stated in The Gazette and is seriously considering it with his professional advisors,” Oyston’s office told BST in an email.
“He cannot work within the deadline imposed upon him but will reply in due course when he has had the full advice from the professionals.”
