The Welsh outfit announced they had “reluctantly agreed” to terminate his loan to free him up for a permanent move elsewhere which will provide more stability for Yussuf and his young family.

On his move to Chesterfield, Yussuf said: "I’m grateful to be joining a great club like Chesterfield and I can’t wait to get started.

“I know a few of the boys here and I’ve heard good things about the club. From what I’ve heard, the manager is everything a player needs from a manager.

“I’m at the peak stage of my career and I want to be able to give everything to the club, on and off the pitch.”
