REVEALED: Blackpool FC unveil new away kit for 2020/21 season

This will be Yussuf's third loan spell since arriving at Bloomfield Road in May 2019.

The 28-year-old, who has yet to make a competitive appearance for the Seasiders, has previously spent time with his former club Solihull Moors and Boreham Wood.

Yussuf, a Terry McPhillips signing under the interim board, made the move to the Fylde Coast on a free transfer last summer after scoring 21 goals in all competitions for Solihull.

Two of those goals came against Blackpool in the FA Cup, when the Seasiders overcame the non-league outfit 3-2 in their second round replay.

But the former Lincoln City, Grimsby Town and Burton Albion man has failed to force his way into Blackpool's first-team plans.

A Tanzania international, Yussuf made his international debut against Zimbabwe at the end of that season.

Of his move to the Racecourse Ground, Yussuf said: "I’ve played here a few times, I know a few of the boys and I can’t wait to get started.

“Hopefully I’ll bring the goals and the hard work and hopefully we can do big things this year.

“I’ve seen the boys that have signed, the boys that are here. It’s a good bunch of lads so I think this year could be a good year for us.”

Yussuf's departure means the Seasiders now have 22 senior players on their books, which is the maximum allowed under new EFL guidelines.

If Ben Garrity and Jamie Devitt also depart, as has been mooted, then that will free up further space for Neil Critchley to make new additions.
