Jamie O’Hara has rejected Blackpool’s offer of a contract in favour of a move to Fulham.
The 28-year-old was offered a fresh deal which would have seen him become the highest paid player at Bloomfield Road this summer after impressing during a six month spell with the Seasiders.
O’Hara was offered a two-year deal by Lee Clark at the end of last season, something which was followed up by Neil McDonald recently who attempted to persuade the midfield man to drop to League One.
But after impressing in training for Fulham last week, he snubbed Pool in favour of a one-year deal at Craven Cottage.
“I’m absolutely delighted. I’ve had a couple of weeks training with the team and I really felt I wanted to get to this club,” he said.
“I’ve loved it, I’ve worked hard and now it’s paid off. I have to thank the Manager for giving me the opportunity.”
O’Hara played 28 times for the Seasiders last season and was voted the club’s player of the year.
