Pool’s controversial friendly against Morecambe is back on ... but fans won’t be able to watch.
Tuesday’s match at the Globe Arena had been cancelled by the Shrimps because of the policing costs resulting from fears of crowd unrest.
It caused a major talking point among supporters, who claimed no protests were planned for the match against Pool’s Lancashire neighbours.
However,The Gazette understands both clubs have agreed for the match to take place that day – played behind closed doors in the afternoon.
Safety officials have also given the green light for Friday’s trip to Accrington to go ahead, despite fears it could also be called-off.
It is believed that talks with supporter groups have indicated that no disruption would take place at the game.
