It’s business as usual on the training ground for Jose Riga again today, but there’s no sign of Ishmael Miller.

Despite all but agreeing terms on Tuesday night and being due to put pen-to-paper yesterday, the deal hasn’t yet been completed.

It’s hoped the 27-year-old former Nottingham Forest man will still join the club, with a couple of issues to iron out before a deal was done.

It’s believed the striker has asked for more time to think about the move, with the managerial uncertainty understood to be the reason for his stalling tactics.

There was no sign of a transfer breakthrough yesterday despite a change in transfer targets, although the club’s trial players remain.

Striker Nathan Delfouneso, keeper Ben Alnswick and midfielders Jacob Mellis and Faris Haroun are all due to be at Pool again this morning.

One player who’s future is totally up in the air is Angel Martinez.

The Gazette revealed last month the Spaniard was on Pool’s retained wish-list and he was finally made an offer this week.

Although the popular midfielder took to twitter last night to suggest he had ‘spent a lot of time waiting for a joke.’

It’s unclear whether or not he was referring to the offer made by the Seasiders.
