Jim McAlister is set for a medical after being offered a contract by Blackpool.
The Scottish midfielder has spent the last ten days on trial with Neil McDonald’s side, playing in friendlies against Ross County, St Johnstone and Morecambe.
He’s available on a free transfer after turning down the chance to stay at Dundee at the end of last season.
The 29-year-old was offered a two-year deal at Bloomfield Road on Monday and it’s believed he’s due to undergo a medical at the club this afternoon.
Should it all be agreed he’ll be confirmed as a Pool player in time for Friday’s final pre-season friendly at Accrington Stanley.
Fellow triallist Emmerson Boyce was again set to train with the club today, despite sitting out of yesterday’s game at Morecambe.
