Blackpool delivered yet another below-par display last night as they slumped to a 2-1 defeat against Carlisle United in the EFL Trophy.

Distribution was poor and probably ought to have done better with Carlisles long-range late winner.
A threat going forwards at right back in the first half but defensively poor. Looked too relaxed on the ball.

Looked a little uncomfortable on the ball and mistimed lunged tackles on more than one occasion.
Uneasy in possession and often overrun. One of many who were guilty of giving the ball away too often.
Bagged his first goal for the club thanks to a goalkeeping error. Attacked well but looked a little shaky defensively.
Showed more of a willingness to get forward and kept hold of possession well. Produced the usual tough tackles.
Threaded one clever through-ball but otherwise wasteful in possession, giving the ball away far too often.
Looked dangerous playing off the wing in the first half but faded as the game wore on. A little wasteful.
Played almost an hour on his first start since August. Looked fresh and made some threatening runs.
Got himself into some dangerous positions but final ball was lacking. Playing the full 90 will do him good.
Struggled and looks low on confidence. Withdrawn after suffering an impact injury to his thigh.
For Hardie, 53' Failed to make any impact after replacing his injured teammate. Hold-up play was poor and first touch let him down.
For Delfouneso, 58' Shoved off the ball on a couple of occasions and struggled to make much attacking progress when deployed at wing back.
For Shaw, 71' Enjoyed a promising debut, holding the ball up well and coming close to scoring when sent through on goal.
