Ben Heneghan was in commanding form for the Seasiders once again
Here's how Pool's players rated:
Unsighted for Barnsleys equaliser but made a couple of fine saves to keep the scoreline respectable. Caught out of position on a couple of occasions and Barnsley had joy down his side of the pitch. Made a string of brave last-ditch blocks and won the vast majority of his aerial duels, but Barnsleys quality finally told. Demonstrated his quality on the ball and always looked to bring the ball out of defence to help launch attacks. Had to concentrate on his defensive side of the game rather than stream forward at every attempt. A little wasteful on the ball. Competed well against Barnsleys quality midfield. Picked up a knock late on but battled through. Got Blackpools noses in front with his deflected early strike and showed good energy levels throughout. Pushed off the ball far too easily on two or three occasions and withdrawn at half-time with a slight knock. Played out of position which didnt get the best out of him. Ended the game in central midfield when hes better suited to the number 10 role. Didnt really get himself in the game and wasted possession on a couple of occasions. Withdrawn with 30 minutes remaining. Set up Harry Pritchards goal but otherwise cut a frustrated figure. Didnt give enough and was too busy complaining. Provided the Seasiders with more width and tried to make things happen, but had few chances to make an impact. Came close to giving Pool an unlikely point late on when he struck the outside of the post from a tight angle. Not on the pitch long enough to have an impact on the game in his brief cameo. Perhaps could have been brought on sooner.
