New Boys Kevin Foley and Stuart O’Keefe are set to go straight into the Blackpool team for the trip to Rotherham tomorrow.
The pair beat yesterday’s 5pm deadline to join on loan until January and will train with their new team mates this morning.
Full-back Foley is a direct replacement for Brian Lenihan who returned to Hull this week after a knee injury cut his time at Blackpool short.
And with regular Tony McMahon suspended for another game, it’s expected Foley will go straight into the side for tomorrow’s game.
“Kevin became an important one for us after young Brian Lenihan reported in with an issue with his knee,” explained Clark.
“That was a blow as we thought the boy was doing well for us and we hope he makes a speedy recovering.
“The injury meant we needed a right-back in and he’s a player who fitted the bill perfectly.
“He’s desperate to come out and play football so we were pleased to get it over the line.”
O’Keefe, 23, is a competitive midfielder who played 12 times in the Premier League last season but has been restricted to just one cup appearance this term.
He will fill the gap left by injuries to Jacob Mellis and Jose Miguel Cubero who have both been ruled out for around a month.
Clark added: “Stuart is a player I’ve had my eye on for a while now. He’s been on my radar for a while and is very highly thought of by Neil Warnock.
“He’s an aggressive type of midfield player who gets around the pitch quickly, he has good energy and exactly the type of player we need in the middle of the park.
“They’ve both met up with us. Kevin’s trained really well and Stuart trained with us on Friday.
“He played in an U21 game on Tuesday which we had watched, so we know he has the required fitness to go in there.
“We are pleased with that so they both come into my thinking for Saturday.”
