NEW boy Kevin Phillips insists there is no relegation hangover at Blackpool and predicts great things for next season.
The striker has settled in well, becoming a popular member of the squad at the training camp in Portugal.
He has impressed his team-mates with his skills and the feeling is mutual – Phillips has already seen enough to convince him the Seasiders can bounce back to the Premier League.
The 37-year-old said: “The lads here are still a little raw about relegation and I know how they feel because I was in the same boat at Birmingham.
“I’ve experienced relegation from the Premier League a few times and it isn’t nice.
“But you need to forget about it – it is done and you can’t do anything about it.
“From what I’ve seen so far, there has been no knock-on effect.
“The lads have come back looking strong and fit, and morale in the camp is excellent.”
