Blackpool suffered three more injuries as their run of bad luck continued.

Gary MacKenzie, Ricardo Fuller and Tom Barkhuizen are all major worries as injury was added to insult in Saturday’s 2-0 home defeat by Middlesbrough.

Barkhuizen was taken to hospital, where scans revealed a dislocated and fractured collarbone after a nasty second-half clash. He is due to undergo surgery this week.

MacKenzie left Bloomfield Road on crutches after being clattered in the final minutes. Pool are awaiting a diagnosis today.

Fuller broke his nose at the end of the first half. After lengthy treatment, he was able to continue after the break but was eventually substituted.

It leaves an already weakened squad in crisis, with only 11 senior players expected to train at Squires Gate today.

Manager Paul Ince said: “The fans sometimes want to have a pop at the manager but they need to look at the squad I’m left with.

“We know we need to build a team and get stronger, and the chairman knows that. I have his support but we need to get back to winning ways.”

At least midfielder Isaiah Osbourne is due to rejoin training today after injury and should be available for the trip to Barnsley on Saturday, as will Kirk Broadfoot after completing his four-match ban.
