IAN Holloway hopes to have Stephen Dobbie fit for Saturday’s game against Burnley.
The boss has revealed that he didn’t know about the striker’s back injury until he turned up for Tuesday’s game against Leeds.
The Pool boss said: “My physio rang me twice on Tuesday morning. I was trying to have a little bit of a lie-in, so I was still in bed.
“I jumped up and ran downstairs but I missed the call. I didn’t recognise his number, couldn’t call back anyway ... but I’m glad I didn’t know.
“Even when I turned up at the ground I was still unsure about whether to switch a few things around because Lomana LuaLua and Nouha Dicko had looked really sharp in training, so I was thinking about bringing them in.
“Hopefully Dobbie will be fit for Saturday. Kevin Phillips might be too.
“And given how well Nouha and LuaLua did against Leeds, I’ve got some really difficult decisions to make when it comes to picking a starting 11 for Burnley.”
