A MISCHIEVOUS Blackpool fan has been sticking up posters around Bloomfield Road showing Karl Oyston and a wedge of cash.

And Ian Holloway thinks they are hilarious.

The Seasiders boss admitted he couldn’t resist a smile when he was shown one.

But more seriously, Holloway insists that money is being spent behind the scenes, and that the club is making great strides forward.

He said: “Our fans have very amusingly made some signs and put them all around the place.

“The posters read ‘£98m’, and show Karl with a big wedge of money coming out of his top pocket. It is quite funny.

“But all it means to me is that the money we got from getting to the Premier League means this club will survive, will keep growing and will steadily get better.

“I brought my father-in-law to Saturday’s match.

“It was the first time that he had been to Bloomfield Road for nearly 18 months, and he couldn’t believe the difference.

“He hadn’t seen my new team and he really enjoyed seeing them.

“He hadn’t seen the ground either, and he was really impressed with how it has been finished off with the other stand done.

“We must make sure we do not forget that.”
