GARY Taylor-Fletcher has handed Blackpool a huge fitness boost.
The striker was expected to miss the rest of the season after tearing his hamstring against Birmingham last month.
However, the 32-year-old has recovered far quicker than expected and is back in training.
Taylor-Fletcher trained last week and will join in with the first team squad from Monday. And he could be in line for a shock return at home to Burnley next Saturday.
Manager Paul Ince revealed: “We’ve had great news that Gary Taylor-Fletcher is back in training. We hope he’ll be available for selection next week, so that’s a huge boost.”
Taylor-Fletcher has played more than 200 times for the Seasiders since joining from Huddersfield in 2007.
He offers massive experience and Ince is clearly a big fan.
The Pool boss said: “He showed against Birmingham what he’s all about. He was outstanding.
“It will be like us having a new player. He lifts us in so many ways and he’s great around the changing room.”
