SIMON Grayson was delighted to get one over on his old club in a game which he claims no-one thought his side could win.

The former Blackpool boss got his tactics spot-on and Grayson couldn’t hide his delight after the Terriers’ 3-1 win.

He said: “To come here and get the result we have playing in the manner we have is obviously very delightful for everybody.

“We said to the players before the game they were in for a real tough test against a strong Blackpool team.

“And we’ve had to be disciplined and do everything we’ve worked on in the last couple of days.

“They’ve got a unity. There are some good footballers in there, and they’ve got a desire to succeed and a togetherness. They want to win football matches.”

Grayson feels people were too quick to write of his side, with all the pre-game talk about Pool potentially going to the top of the Championship.

“Nobody gave them a chance coming here as it was all about Blackpool going top, but I’m very proud of what the players did.”
