The green shoots of recovery will soon be starting to show as the pitch is relaid at Blackpool FC.
Following Friday’s Rod Stewart concertat Bloomfield Road, work has started to prepare the playing surface for next season.

After reseeding, the surface is expected to be showing fresh roots by this time next week.
The next football due to be played on the pitch is the pre-season friendly against Burnley on Saturday August 2.
- Blackpool’s Capital One Cup tie at Shrewsbury will be played on Tuesday August 12 at 7.45pm.
Tickets for the clash against Micky Mellon’s League Two side are priced £10 for adults, £5 for seniors and just £1 for juniors.
