The 21-year-old, who joined the German side earlier this season, is among the players to be called back from their lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Just like English football, no return date has been set for the Bundesliga but that hasn't stopped some clubs from returning to training.

Evans spent an unsuccessful loan spell with the Seasiders last season, making 12 appearances under the management of Terry McPhillips.

The attacking midfielder made the switch to Germany from Everton during the January transfer window, signing a two-and-a-half year deal.

Evans was out of contract at Goodison Park at the end of the season.

Upon signing the England Under-19 international, Paderborn's sporting director Martin Przondziono said: “Antony is an absolute top talent. He’s got great potential and is very suited to our style of play.

"His strengths are his tireless running, very good set-pieces and his desire to go forward."
