THOSE just about coming to terms with relegation from the Premier League may well have been plunged back into depression today - the fixture list is out, and it isn’t pretty.

Take Christmas for example. An away game at Barnsley on Boxing Day, followed by a trip to Birmingham on New Years Eve. Not a home game in sight!

There is also a horrible last day journey to Millwall to look forward to.

Pool fans will have to wait until the penultimate home game for the return of Simon Grayson.

The Seasiders promotion winning boss brings Leeds United to Bloomfield Road on Tuesday April 17.

The reverse fixture at Elland Road is also on a Tuesday night - November 1. In total there are 10 midweek games.

Ian Holloway’s men kick off their campaign with a testing trip to Hull’s KC Stadium on Saturday August 6, followed by home games with Peterborough on August 13 and Derby on Tuesday August 16.

The derby games against Burnley take place on Saturday October 29 at Turf Moor and Saturday April 21 at Bloomfield Road Pool’s last two home games are Leeds and Burnley - nice and tasty.

Pool came down from the Premier League with West Ham and Birmingham.

They face the Hammers away on October 15, with the reverse fixture on February 18. Birmingham travel to Bloomfield Road on November 26 - the away game on December 31.

The nearest Pool get to a festive fixture is the January 2 home game with Middlesbrough.

The fixture list is rather sobering given that last year supporters were picking out the games against Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal.
