HERE’S your chance to represent the Seasiders in a charity five-a-side tournament in aid of the Gary Parkinson Trust Fund.
Luke Parkinson has organised the Bolton event to raise money for his dad, Gary, the Blackpool FC youth coach who is recovering from a very serious stroke.
The event takes place on Sunday August 7 at Bolton Arena, a goal-kick away from the Reebok Stadium.
Luke hopes that teams of fans representing all Gary’s clubs – Middlesbrough, Bolton, Burnley and Preston as well as Blackpool – will take part in the tournament.
Each team will be assigned a legend or celebrity fan from their club, who will play for their team throughout the tournament.
The entry fee is £120 for a team of six (£20 per player), with all money received going towards the Gary Parkinson Trust Fund.
Teams will compete in groups, with every team guaranteed at least four games. Qualifiers will proceed through further knockout rounds.
