The 29-year-old, who is capable of playing at both centre back and right back, has agreed a two-year deal with the option of a further year.

The St Kitts & Nevis international left Salford last week after deciding not to renew his contract.

The Birmingham-born man was recently named in the National League North team of the season after helping Salford seal the league title.

“I’m over the moon and I can’t wait to get going," Nottingham said.

"I’m really thankful for the opportunity – it’s something I’ve always wanted, to play league football – and to be at Blackpool, a club with such history, is an amazing feeling.

"I’m ready to give it everything I’ve got.”

The goalscoring defender notched 11 times in his first season at Salford after arriving from Solihull Moors.

Predominately played at right back, he popped up with four more goals this season.

On leaving the club, Nottingham said: “I’m deeply saddened to say that my time with Salford City has come to an end. It’s the hardest decision I’ve ever had to make because it’s easily been the best two years of my life with so many ups and very little downs.

“I moved away from home to Manchester, leaving behind family and friends, but gaining new ones at Salford City.

"I’m extremely proud of my contribution and I’m leaving on the highest note possible. I’m really grateful for the opportunity given to me to play for such an amazing club that is on the rise.

“I really want to thank everybody for all the support I have had over the past two seasons the owners, the committee, the staff, the managers, all my team-mates, and of course the supporters.

"Thank you all so much for everything and I wish everybody associated with the club the very best of luck."

He will officially become a Blackpool player on July 1 having made a total of 93 appearances for Salford City, scoring 15 goals in the process.
