The defender was Blackpool's 12th and final signing of the January transfer window, agreeing a loan move from Championship side Bristol City until the end of the season.

The 22-year-old has been brought in as a direct replacement for Curtis Tilt, who left to join Rotherham United for an undisclosed fee.

Moore was at the Kassam Stadium on Saturday to watch his new side slump to a 2-1 defeat to Oxford United but was unavailable for selection having not been registered in time.

“I tried to sign my paperwork as quickly as possible to try and play on Saturday, but unfortunately with the chaotic transfer deadline day it wasn’t possible," he said.

“I’ve had a really warm welcome from everyone, all over social media and obviously meeting the boys as well.

“I got the opportunity to meet them at the game on Saturday at Oxford and that was good to get a feel for how everything is at the club.

“It was great to meet the gaffer and his coaching staff there as well, then I enjoyed my first day in training on Monday.

“I just really wanted to be around the boys, be around the staff and have a feel of what it’s going to be like.

“I’m going to be here for three, hopefully four months so I just wanted to commit as much as possible as quickly as possible.”

Having started his senior career with French club Lens, Moore made the move to Ashton Gate in 2016.

He’s since spent time on loan with Bury, Cheltenham Town and Southend.

In fact, the defender played against the Seasiders for Southend last season, scoring the unfortunate stoppage-time own goal in the 2-2 draw in March 2019 - the game that was dubbed the ‘homecoming clash’.

Moore returned to Bristol City during the summer and has since made 24 appearances for Lee Johnson’s side this season.

Despite being a regular in the Robins' first-team squad this season, Moore believes this loan spell is the right move for his career.

“It’s always interesting coming to different clubs and seeing how different things work," he added.

“You realise you’re all in this together and you get to meet new people and new faces. I’ve got a good feeling.

“It’s been interesting talking to a few of the other boys who have come in from other clubs on loan as well as those boys who have been here a long time as well.

“There is a good mix, but I’ve been on a few loans now so I know how it works - this isn’t the first one.

“I just need to settle in as quickly as possible and get ready for the games.”
