Blackpool 2-1 Bolton Wanderers: Leicester loanee Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall wins it a...

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall struck in the 89th-minute to claim a much-needed three points for the Seasiders.

It was the ideal response from Dunn's charges, who had conceded the equaliser only two minutes previously when Kean Bryan prodded home at the back post.

That came after the Seasiders had led for much of the game thanks to Connor Ronan's thunderous first-half strike.

“It feels good," Dunn said post-match after winning for the first time.

“Having said that, I thought we made hard work of it in the second half. We started the half sloppily and they changed their shape which gave us a few more problems.

“First half we were excellent, as good as I’ve seen really. The way we passed it, we picked second balls up, we were getting on the end of things, Liam Feeney and Calum Macdonald were putting crosses in. We were really good value for our lead.

“I said to them at half time that we needed to carry it on, but I knew Bolton would come out of the traps and make it more difficult for us.

“Their shape, as I said, gave us a few issues and we had to change it in the end because I felt it was only a matter of time until they might hurt us a little bit.

“But the way the lads stuck in there and got that win was excellent.”

It appeared as though Blackpool would be made to pay for their poor finishing once again when Bryan struck in the 87th minute for the Trotters.

But thankfully Dewsbury-Hall had the last laugh to send Bloomfield Road into raptures.

“I just thought ‘here we go again’," Dunn said of Bolton's late leveller.

“It was like the Gillingham game the other week where we were well in control for 70 odd minutes, then they score and get another one three minutes later.

“I always feel in this division the second goal is so important.

“I thought we had three good penalty appeals turned down. I thought two were definite. The wrestle on Gary Madine, the guy isn’t even looking at the ball and he’s giving him a cuddle.

“Could it have been a handball for the other one? Probably. The other one on Nathan Delfouneso, I don’t know, it’s too difficult to see whether he got anything on the ball.

“But there’s three there, but I’d probably be better off not saying too much more on that before I get myself in trouble.

“Credit to the lads, they dug in and got that winner I felt they deserved - certainly after our first half because the way we played was excellent.”
