Lee Clark has paid tribute to Blackpool’s fans who are set to again travel in numbers to Blackburn.
More than a thousand supporters are set for the trip to Ewood Park tomorrow, an incredible figure considering Blackpool’s dreadful league position.
And it’s something which hasn’t gone amiss on boss Clark.
“It’s nice to know the fans appreciate the efforts the players are putting in,” he said.
“The majority of the fans have been great and supported us.”
More than 700 have bought tickets in advance for tomorrow’s game with that amount again believed to be planning to pay on the day.
It comes in the midst of huge protests against the Oyston family as fans feel not enough has been done to arrest the club’s recent decline. Clark admits he and the players are aware of the off-the-field issues.
He said: “We know the ongoing situation surrounding the club and what’s been happening outside on a match day.
“That’s all beyond our control. Once the game kicks off the support has been really good. Hopefully it will be the same at Blackburn tomorrow.”
Tickets are available for tomorrow’s game on the day, priced £26 for adults, £16 for seniors and £8 for under 16s.
