Lee Clark admits Blackpool face the Championship’s best team today, but is convinced his side can cause a shock.
Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth are 11 games unbeaten and lie top of the table after sensational start to the season.
With Pool rock-bottom of the table many have already written the game off, with bookmakers offering as much as 7/1 for a Blackpool win.
But Clark is convinced his side has what it takes to stun the league.
“We know we are right up against it on Saturday, Bournemouth are in my opinion the best team in the division,” he said.
“But there’s no team in the world who are unbeatable, we believe we can win the game although we know it will be tough.
“They pass the ball really well, have pace and power all over the pitch and are very attack minded.
“We are hopeful the cup tie (against Liverpool on Wednesday) may have taken a little bit out of them. We are confident we can give them a good game.
“We know what is expected and what we have to do to win.”
Today’s game is the first time Bournemouth will play while sitting on the top of the table, which brings pressure in itself.
Clark added: “When you are up there everyone wants to have a go at you.
“Everyone has this game down as a Bournemouth victory, but inside the dressing room we don’t believe that.
“We have to stop them playing their game.
“It’s important we focus on our own game as well as their’s, we have to play with an intensity and give them problems. We do have to try and combat what they will do and we’ve been working on it all week.”
Blackpool themselves are in good spirits going into the game, with the Seasiders four unbeaten despite remaining eight points adrift at the bottom.
And the boss senses a totally different atmosphere around the place.
He said: “There’s much more confidence around the whole club now, as well as togetherness and spirit.
“Certainly in the last few games we’ve battles until the end and we can recover from set-backs now too.”
