Bowyer's special praise for 'magnificent' Blackpool fans

Gary Bowyer reserved special praise for the vociferous backing Blackpool's supporters gave their team during today's defeat at Rotherham United.

Blackpool's supporters were magnificent from start to finish

Bowyer: We should have won the game, never mind drawn it

Despite seeing their side go down to an undeserved 1-0 loss at the New York Stadium, the 682 Blackpool fans made their voices heard from start to finish.

It didn't go unnoticed by the Pool manager, who at times appeared distracted by the atmosphere created in the away end at Rotherham.

Pool boss Gary Bowyer reserved special praise for the support his players received

“It’s right that I mention our supporters: wow. They were magnificent," he said.

“And you just saw how much they love the club. They follow us home and away and they just didn’t shut up.

“On behalf of myself and the players, I just want to thank them because we’ve appreciated the support all season.”
