Blackpool boss Gary Bowyer says he would be "gutted" if his former side Blackburn Rovers were relegated from the Championship this weekend.
Bowyer spent more than a decade at Ewood Park having originally worked as a youth coach and a reserve coach, before taking reigns of the first team in 2013
Despite his harsh sacking in 2015, the Pool boss is hoping Tony Mowbray's side can pull off a miracle and escape.
Blackburn could be relegated as soon as this weekend if they fail to beat Aston Villa and other results go against them.
“I’d be gutted, I don’t want them to go down at all,” Bowyer said.
“I think you look at their squad, they’ve got far too much quality.
“It would upset me, I would be upset because I had 11-and-a-half years there and I know the implications if they got relegated on the people and I don’t want that.
“That wouldn’t be good so hopefully they can get a result.”
