BLACKPOOL will again be without Alex Baptiste for their final home game of 2011.

Boss Ian Holloway had hoped the defender would be fit after joining in training in the latter part of the week, but he has failed to shake off a hamstring injury.

Elliot Grandin will also miss out and Holloway said: “Baptiste is not right and won’t play on Saturday. Grandin needs a reserve game really.

“We are desperately trying to get a game for him to play in as he’s looking better and better in training.

“I never trust anyone who’s been out for that long without getting a game under his belt, although he may be the exception to the rule if this carries on.

“He’s looking better all the time and Thursday was his best training day yet, so he’s close.”

Holloway has hinted at further changes to the side that drew away to leaders Southampton last Saturday.

He said: “Will I pick the same team? I’m not quite sure. I’ve looked at their tactics and what they do, and I might have to play with an extra striker. I picked Chris Basham last week and he was terrific.”
