Stevenson, who has scored 11 goals this season, has caught the eye of the Blackpool scouts and was invited along to take part in training.

Leek boss Neil Baker was at Squires Gate on Thursday watching his winger being put through his paces.

“We’ll just have to see how it goes," he told the Stoke Sentinel.

"Rob’s been watched a few times this season and Blackpool decided they wanted to take a good look at him at their own training ground."

Stevenson, 24, is currently in his second spell at Leek, having originally played there during the 2012/13 season.

He’s also has spells at Market Drayton Town, Belper Town and Stafford Rangers before returning to the club in October 2016.

Whatever the outcome of his trial, Stevenson should be back in Leek Town’s squad for the trip to Cleethorpes Town tomorrow.

Leek currently play in the Northern Premier League Division One South
