The 18-year-old will be playing with the year above for their two warm-up fixtures against Romania in Spain.

The first match takes place today.

The two games will give Ireland manager Tom Mohan opportunity to fine-tune his preparations for next month’s UEFA European Under-19 Championship Elite Round.

In the final stage of qualification, Ireland will take on Kosovo, Portugal and Slovakia for a place in the tournament proper.

Roache, who signed professional terms with the Seasiders in June of last year, made his league debut in the 0-0 draw against Bristol Rovers last month.

This is not his first taste of international action, having represented Ireland at last year's U17 European Championships.
