Blackpool have signed Derby County midfielder Callum Guy on loan with the transfer set to be made permanent in January.
The 21-year-old, who has been with the Rams since the age of nine, is highly rated at Pride Park but Frank Lampard is known to want to trim their wage bill.
Guy made his senior debut as a substitute against Barnsley in the Carabao Cup last season.
He joined Bradford City on loan at the start of the year and featured 17 times in League One, having previously played in the division for Port Vale.
Once the January transfer window opens, the box-to-box midfielder will become a Blackpool player on an 18-month contract, with an option for it to be extended by a further year.
The Seasiders, who are still known to want to bring in a striker, are working on another deal but face a race against time with today's loan deadline closing at 5pm.
