THE Seasiders have confirmed home friendlies against Scottish Premier League clubs Rangers and Hibernian on successive Tuesdays next month.

The prestigious warm-up match against the Glasgow giants and SPL champions is set for Tuesday, July 19 at 7.30pm.

Tickets are available now for season-ticket holders only, with a maximum of two per season ticket.

They are priced £15 and £20 (concessions £5 and £10). Rangers have been allocated 1,750 seats.

Hibs visit Bloomfield Road seven days later. The Edinburgh club also played a friendly at Blackpool last summer, winning 2-1.

Tickets for the 7.45pm kick-off are on general sale now, priced £10 (£5 concessions).

Pool secretary Matt Williams said: “We have a fantastic relationship with Rangers and have been trying to get them down for a friendly for a while now.

“They’ve managed to fit us into their pre-season plans and it should be a cracker.

“There was a slight issue with the police, but once they had completed all of their research they were happy for the game to go ahead.

“It will be great to have such good opposition at Bloomfield Road.”

Between those two matches, Pool will visit Paul Dickov’s League One side Oldham Athletic on Saturday, July 23 (3pm), when admission will be £10 (£5).

Before these friendlies, Ian Holloway has announced his intention to take the Pool players away for a training camp, during which any matches will be behind closed doors.

It is unlikely that Blackpool’s former Rangers star Charlie Adam will take part in the game, a number of clubs look set to bid for the player in the coming weeks.
