Speaking after the Port Vale game, Anderson added: “I felt fit, I felt good and the boys looked good as well, so hopefully we can take our progression into our next game.
“At the start it was hard – a few of the boys were getting on to me saying I had a bit of a gut! But I’ve got rid of that now, so I’m happy.
“It’s good just to be back in. Everyone has missed it so we can’t wait to get going properly. We’re looking forward to it all.”

The forward, who first gained EFL experience via several loan moves from Crystal Palace, is glad to be in the training routine despite these unusual times.
Anderson added: “It’s still a bit different with all the measures we have to go through but it’s just good to get back.
“Everyone is getting on well, training has been good and we’ve nailed down a few things that we want to do in terms of what we want to be as a team.

“Fixtures come out this week, so we’re looking forward to seeing who we’ll get on the first day and take it from there.”
