It marks quite the transformation for Blackpool fans, who had been accustomed to seeing their previous owner - Owen Oyston - regularly voted the worst owner.

Against League Three said more than 3,000 fans from 141 different clubs were polled on their clubs’ owners in the third annual survey.

Fans were asked to rate owners out of 10 in six areas: communications, finance, football, stadium, treatment of fans and transparency.

Blackpool were rated highly in all categories, ranking 93.44 out of 100 overall and 7.3 out of 10 for communication, 7.49 out of 10 for finance, 7.34 out of 10 for football operations, 7.21 out of 10 for stadium development/upkeep, 7.49 out of 10 for treatment of fans and 7.33 out of 10 for transparency.

One recipient commented: "After the Oystons, Simon Sadler is a complete breath of fresh air. Huge difference in a very short space of time
