Blackpool defender looks forward to welcoming back returning team-mate

Ollie Turton says he and his Blackpool team-mates will be glad to welcome back James Husband into the fold for Saturday’s game against Burton Albion.

The defender has now served his two-match ban, his second suspension of the season already, following his straight red card in the recent game against Charlton Athletic.

With Ethan Robson and Dan Ballard potentially out through suspension following their dismissals at AFC Wimbledon in midweek – although Blackpool are considering lodging an appeal – Turton believes the return of an experienced player such as Husband will be key.

“It’s football, some things you can’t control,” the 27-year-old said.

“We might be without a couple of players on Saturday but it will be good to have Hubby back, because he’s an experienced lad in the team and he’s a good voice in the changing room. It’ll be good to have him back.

“Burton might be bottom but in League One, any team can beat anyone. But we’ll go into the game thinking we can go and get a win, definitely.

“We want to turn up to every game thinking we can get a result, that’s our aim.”
