It is the start of a new week in League One and the beginning of a new era which will impact Blackpool with the introduction of the salary cap. The landscape has altered for clubs in the bottom two tiers of the English Football League. They are now vulnerable to predators from the Championship and even Premier League looking for bargain deals.
As for signing players, it will become more difficult to compete with finances on offer in the Championship and even perhaps Scotland.
