Goals in either half from new recruits Joe Dodoo and Harry Pritchard secured the win for the Seasiders at Burnley's Gawthorpe training ground.

Burnley split their squad into two XI's, with their other side taking on Shrewsbury Town on the next pitch - losing 1-0.

Sean Dyche fielded a strong side against the Seasiders with first-team regulars Ben Mee, Jeff Hendrick, Jack Cork, Sam Vokes and Nahki Wells all in action.

While Blackpool's exact team is not known, it is understood all of the squad were involved and new signing Marc Bola came on for the last 30 minutes.

Pool's win was their third clash to be played behind closed doors. Prior to today, Gary Bowyer's men drew 2-2 with Wigan Athletic (goals from Mark Cullen and Joe Dodoo) and beat a youthful Rangers side 2-1 (John O'Sullivan & Chris Taylor).

Their first public friendlies will be played this Saturday, when two separate sides will take on Nantwich Town and Port Vale on the same day.

A first ever trip to AFC Fylde's Mill Farm follows on Tuesday, before finishing their pre-season preparations with an away game at League Two side Crewe Alexandra.
