His standout performance came against Bradford City last weekend where he provided a hat-trick of assists in the Seasiders’ superb 5-0 win.

He then backed that up with another fine display in the 3-0 win against Northampton Town on Tuesday night.

Daniel, who is now in his second season at Bloomfield Road, has made more than 80 appearances for the Seasiders having signed on a free transfer in June 2016.

Prior to that, he had turned out for the likes of Macclesfield Town, Crewe Alexandra, Mansfield Town and Port Vale.

He has been a regular for the Seasiders under the management of Bowyer, who continues to speak very highly of the Eastwood-born man.

He said: “Colin is another player who, in my opinion, is capable of playing higher than he was when he came to us last year.

“I was aware of him because he’s a Nottingham lad and I’ve got connections down there and I couldn’t believe a player of his calibre was playing in League Two.

“That’s no disrespect to League Two, that’s just what I think of Colin.

“I’ve told him on many occasions he has the ability to play in the Championship, but that belief has got to come from him.

“He’s another one who has got so much talent.”

Daniel has scored four times in 40 appearances this season.
