AFC Fylde's match with Blyth Spartans is postponed as a result of Covid-19 cases

AFC Fylde have announced that Saturday’s National League North match against Blyth Spartans has been called off as a consequence of Covid-19 in the Coasters’ squad.

The club issued a statement on Friday evening to explain the circumstances behind the postponement of the match at Mill Farm.

It read: “AFC Fylde Football Club can confirm that all players will self-isolate following the news of two confirmed Covid-19 cases in the squad.

“The Coasters were due to play Blyth Spartans at home on Saturday 16th January.

“This fixture will now be postponed as the club begin a self-isolation period as per National League and Government guidelines.

“We would like to wish those affected a swift and speedy recovery.”
