Son of Nottingham Forest legend Steve Chettle, Chettle rose through the ranks at The City Ground before joining Ilkeston, where he became their youngster ever player at just 16 years old.

An impressive spell at Nuneaton Town followed before he was snapped up by League One side Peterborough in January 2016.

The England C midfielder will join up with the Coasters squad today ahead of Saturday’s trip to Bromley as Dave Challinor’s side look to make it three league wins on the bounce.

Chettle has found first-team opportunities limited during his time at Peterborough, making 22 appearances since joining the club two years ago without finding the back of the net.
