A source close to the Coasters said Fylde are “grateful for Blackpool’s co-operation in this matter”.

The Seasiders’ first visit to Mill Farm is scheduled for Tuesday, July 24 with a 7.30pm kick-off.

The National League club were concerned that a shared gate would reduce the attendance.

Fylde have added a further home friendly to their schedule for four days later, Saturday July 21.

The visitors that day will be a Carlisle United side under the new management of John Sheridan.

Sheridan made a major impact in keeping FleetwoodTown in League One during his short spell in charge at Highbury in the final months of last season.

Getting into League One will be Sheridan’s goal this time with the Cumbrians, who finished 10th in League Two last season. Admission to the 3pm kick-off will be £12 for seats and £10 for standing (£7 and £5 for under-16s).

The Carlisle game takes the number of confirmed Fylde friendies to five.

Their programme starts at home to Preston on Saturday, July 14.

Fylde have also fixed up two away matches against non-league opposition. They make the short journey to Squires Gate on Tuesday July 17 and will visit Curzon Ashton in Ashton-under-Lyne on Saturday, July 28.

Pre-season training at Mill Farm begins next Monday.
