The Blackpool Wyre & Fylde Schools Sports Partnership brought together five local schools, with teams from Cardinal Allen Catholic High School, South Shore Academy, Saint Bede’s Catholic High School, St Mary’s Catholic Academy and Millfield Science and Performing Arts College entering under-13 and under-15 teams.

The highest finishing Wyre and Fylde team in the U13 competition had the added incentive of going on to represent those boroughs at the Lancashire School Games.

“This is the first year we’ve done a touch rugby tournament for girls and I’m sure it will only go from strength to strength.

Fleetwood are a brilliant and accommodating club. They have great facilities and it’s somewhere we’ll continue to utilise.”
