Coach has big decision to make on who fills half-back role

He has decided to choose Stephen Depledge at scrum-half, but has yet to determine whether Steve Collins or Richard Kenyon will fill the fly-half berth.

In addition, prop Simon Griffiths will not be included.

Nelson said: “Simon already travels up to Fylde from Anglesey and it is unfair to ask him to travel all the way up to Tynedale as well.”

Oli Brennand and Mike Waywell are named in the back-line.

Nelson wants to see the side finish the campaign with a flourish, but he also admits that he is already planning ahead.

He said: “We need to end the season well, but as far as I am concerned next season starts here – I am already putting together building-blocks for next season.”
