The 31-year-old Hooper has had 19 wins, four by way of knockout, with three defeats.

The Cardle versus Hooper contest must take place before the end of August.

The deadline for purse bids is May 11.

Cardle's last two fights have been against Sean Dodd.

The Lytham man won the first contest with a 12th round stoppage, while the other ended in a draw, a verdict which provoked a storm of controversy.
