Cardle takes on the replacement opponent after moves to match him up with controversial former world champion Scott Harrison.

The Cardle fight figures on the undercard of the ‘He Who Dares’ bill at Braehead Arena in Glasgow.

The Lytham fighter goes into Friday’s fight bidding to extend his 100 per cent record of 15 straight wins.

Chapelle has lost more fights than he has won and none of his 14 wins have been by way of knockout.

Of his 32 contests, 16 have been defeats and two draws, though Chapelle has never been knocked out in his professional career.

In January, he lost to Yvan Mendy when the pair fought for the French lightweight title in Oise.

Cardle’s fight will serve as a warm-up for his next scheduled outing against English champion Kirk Goodings, who has been named as mandatory opponent for the English title.

That match-up is also likely to be an eliminator for the British belt.

Central Area champion Cardle is not thinking ahead of himself and only has Chapelle in his sights as he attempts to make 2014 his breakthrough year.

Top of the bill sees Ricky Burns meet undefeated Dejan Zlaticanin.

Light-welterweight Curtis Woodhouse faces Willie Limond, while Stephen Simmons takes on Wadi Camacho.

There are limited £40 and £60 tickets still available and these can be purchased through Team Cardle on 07889 947147.
