Stalmine boxer Jack Arnfield scored a shut-out victory against Lithuanian Deividas Sajauka in Manchester,
The Lithuanian, with a moderate record, came into the fight at only 48 hours' notice - Arnfield's scheduled opponent Cello Renda pulled out of a planned British middleweight title eliminator after being involved in a car accident on the way to the check weigh-in.
Arnfield took every round, getting the verdict by a landslide 80-72 points.
Arnfield asserted from the start in the contest held at the Victoria Warehouse.
He was dominant from the outset, his raking jab clearly unsettling the limited opponent, who was intent on survival first and foremost.
Round one set the tone - Arnfield was particularly effective in the sixth session of this eight-rounder, unleashing with good combinations and hurtful left and right hooks.
However, Sajauka was nothing if not durable and heard the final bell.
