Blackpool schools giving rugby a try at St Mary's
St Mary's Catholic Academy staged rugby tournaments to help players in years 7 and 8 to develop their skills.
The host school and Unity contested both tournaments, while Highfield and Montgomery also took part in the year 7 competition and South Shore in the year 8 event.
The emphasis was firmly on develpment rather than results, though Unity did win all their matches in the year 7 competition and St Mary’s did likewise at year 8 level.
